Being conscious of your thoughts is of utmost importance in shaping your actions and behaviors. Your ingrained beliefs, influenced by life experiences and upbringing, define who you are. It’s hard to be happy in life when we can’t get everything we want right now! I want to feel better now. I want to be successful now. I want my relationships to be better now. I want everything right now, is that too much to ask? Or maybe it’s hard to be happy in life because we do want everything right now. The remedy for this situation is to stop with the quick-fix mentality.
I’ve noticed that as I train my mind and build more and more mental toughness, life seems to get better, which is why I think we all need to develop mental toughness in our lives.
The path to peace seems to elude many people throughout life, myself included. There may be moments of peace experienced in one’s life in which we consciously reflect on the fact that we are undergoing this transaction of harmony within ourselves. However, the question begging to be asked is, “How long does that inner peace last?”
As we go through life, we accumulate different worries or fears, joy or love, and the more we focus on those things, the larger they become, so we tend to focus on them even more. If we do this with a negative tilt, then we enlarge our perceived problems.
